Welcome to this free online course! The aim of this course is to give you some tools and techniques that can help with anxiety. This is not a replacement for therapy. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please call 911 or view our list of crisis resources.

 

Introduction:

This introduction video will talk a little bit about how to use this course. Please don’t skip this introduction! Here are some important details for doing this course:

  1. These videos are packed with as much information as I could fit in. Please take notes, pause, rewind, etc. as much as is needed.

  2. Focus on the practices more than the information. Practicing the tools and techniques from this course regularly will be what gives you the most relief from anxiety. The information is secondary. No one will quiz you on it :)

  3. Don’t fly through the course. I recommend one module per week, and spending the time in between really practicing and implementing what you learn in each module. Completing the modules quicker will not get quicker results, but practicing the tools and techniques diligently will.

 
 
 

Module 1

Getting quick relief from Anxiety

In this module we jump right in and start learning strategies for coping with anxiety. The tools covered here are: Deep Breathing, Grounding, and Acceptance.


Module 2

Meditation and mindfulness

Module 2 Video 1: What are Meditation and Mindfulness?

This module goes over what meditation and mindfulness are, and some specific strategies to practice. It has been split into separate videos so that you can revisit certain exercises easily. Please watch all of these videos in the order they are presented here. Then you can go back and revisit any video or guided exercise as often as you want!

Module 3

Freedom from fear

In this module we learn how to overcome fear and change our behaviors to achieve long term relief from anxiety rather than always giving in to what anxiety wants us to do in the short term. Learn how to face your fears in a slow and strategic way so that it doesn’t feel so daunting.
