Policies
Our primary concerns are to protect client privacy, confidentiality, and safety, while safeguarding the therapeutic process and relationship.
Strive On Counseling maintains a professional page to share informational/educational content, which does not in any way constitute mental health counseling services, advice, etc.
Clients are free to follow the practice’s pages; but they should understand:
Their social media activity, including pages they follow, posts they like or share, etc. may be visible to others on social media, depending on their privacy settings. This has the potential to compromise your confidentiality.
Strive On Counseling clinicians do not review or reply to private messages. Clients may not contact their provider via social media.
Strive On Counseling clinicians (either personally or on the practice’s pages) do not friend/follow/or otherwise engage with clients on social media. Casual or incidental viewing of a client’s online presence may interfere with the process and focus of the therapeutic relationship.
On social media, we will continue to adhere to and uphold the legal and ethical boundaries that exist within the context of therapy.
Strive On Counseling does not solicit or respond to testimonials or reviews by clients, on social media, consumer review sites, or otherwise. If you have a concern or complaint about the services provided by the practice, please contact your primary clinician and/or the practice owner directly (Mike Comparetto, LCSW, striveoncounseling@gmail.com).
Strive On clinicians are licensed in and adhere to the standards set by the state of North Carolina. Content posted by Strive On Counseling does not suggest universal relevance or expertise on a given topic; best practices might vary by location, culture, or other factors.
